Graphic Designer - Corporate - Columbus, OH

Responsible for day-to-day design and production of printed and digital mall marketing materials including signage, advertisements, brochures, posters, social media, and email campaigns to support marketing programs.

Essential Functions

  • Design and produce marketing materials to support regional and mall marketing initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively with Creative Services Manager to develop signature event branding.

  • Implement quality control of design files, proofing, compiling, archiving and uploading files to digital database.

  • Maintain all mall marketing materials, brochures, ad campaigns, signage and posters to help create a consistent overall visual standard for Washington Prime Group and to support events, community engagement, sponsorship and retailer promotions.

  • Prepare, collect, and distribute all file components of the project to their respective team members and vendors in a timely fashion. Prepare files for print, coordinate print production, and ensure quality of printed materials from vendors.

  • Collaborate with digital marketing team to conceive, design and build campaigns for email, social and web.

  • Travel to mall locations as needed for collaboration with marketing directors and inspiration for ongoing projects.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong typography skills.

  • Print production knowledge.

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).

  • Excellent communication skills –you should be able to clearly articulate your design decisions.

  • Comfortable designing ads for social media (Facebook Creative Hub, social best practices, ad specs, etc.)

  • Illustration and animation experience a plus.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • 4-year degree in graphic design, or 2-4 years Graphic Design experience required

  • Exceptional knowledge of typography and appropriate use of brand colors, images and fonts, allowing for legibility and functionality in print, online, and mobile environments.

  • Online portfolio that demonstrates a strong sense of branding, typography and layoutis a must.
